Northmont Child Development Center is hiring! Full-time and part-time positions available. Call the center at 412-364-0106 or email Amy Watenpool, Director, (below) for more detailed information.
Our philosophy centers on addressing all aspects of a child’s development: cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual. Within the atmosphere of the Center, feelings of self-worth and respect for others are fostered through positive social interactions in a safe and nurturing environment. Each child is viewed as an individual with his/her own unique needs and abilities. Our program is designed to maximize each child’s potential. Trained early childhood educators, working together with the child’s parents, offer a program of activities designed to meet all of the child’s needs.
On average, our staff members have been with us for 8 years. Staff members are trained in Pediatric CPR and first aid, have obtained their required clearances, and participate in ongoing professional development training. Many of our staff members have educational backgrounds and degrees in the following areas: early childhood education, elementary education, special education, and child and family studies.
The Center operates daily, Monday-Friday from 7am-6pm, year-round and is open to any child, ages 6 weeks to 6 years, regardless of sex, race, creed, physical ability or national origin.
